Sensei's Message: ITKA Karate is a life-changing program and a path to success for our students. We provide instruction in a safe, caring, motivating, fun, and yet disciplined atmosphere, teaching focused on attentiveness (living the moment), on the task at hand, and the concentration necessary to complete the task. ITKA teaches self-discipline by providing the guidance necessary to help improve habits by repeatedly emphasizing the fundamental philosophy of respect cooperation, stress management, fitness, balanced leadership, and responsibility.   Through ITKA International affiliates students learn more about other cultures while making new friends. We teach social responsibility to promote citizenship. The ITKA “KIDS HELPING KIDS”  program is a  concept designed to promote leadership, confidence, and conflict resolution. ITKA's philosophy and training help improve students' ability, for reasonable self-defense and self-confidence, this also helps build stronger emotional skills resulting in self-confidence which negates the impact of bullies. We guide our students to success by challenging them to strive for and test for a higher belt. Young people can relate belt achievements to success from the early stages of life. We encourage our students to keep their eyes on their goals, overcome obstacles and open their minds to new experiences.
